Sol Vilera Ramos is a Principal at the CFE Fund, where she leads the Emergency Financial Empowerment initiative, supporting local governments to integrate financial stability into disaster preparedness and recovery so communities can better prepare for, withstand, and recover from the financial shocks of a disaster. She also oversees the CityStart initiative, collaborating local government to advance policies and practices that support long-term financial stability for families and communities. Her work is grounded in experience across financial inclusion, community-based economic development, and international microfinance, spanning diverse economic contexts. Previously, she was a Financial Counselor and then a Relationship Manager at a New York City-based financial inclusion nonprofit. She also served as an Economic Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Costa Rica. She holds a BA in Economics from Texas A&M University.
